Baiyun Airport posts record traffic, green initiatives highlight 2024

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (SSE:600004) announced its 2024 financial results alongside several related reports, highlighting a year of record traffic and significant strides in its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance. Audits by both the company and external firm BDO China Shu Lun Pan confirm the financial statements and internal controls are effective. In 2024, the airport handled a record of 76.37 million passengers and 2.38 million tons of cargo, boasting 79 airline operations, linking to near 100 international destinations, with nearly 35% of passengers on international flights. The company is recommending a cash dividend of CNY 0.157 per share, totalling CNY 371.6 million and marking the return of over 40% of group profit. Key initiatives in 2024 included significant reductions in waste, increased use of renewable energy, and a cut of the air fuel emissions.
