Sanmen nuclear power project gains approval, boosts China National Nuclear Power

China National Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (SSE:601985) announced that the Zhejiang Sanmen nuclear power project, including units 5 and 6, has been approved following a review by the State Council. The project, which is under the purview of Sanmen Second Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China National Nuclear Power, will involve the construction of two "Hualong One" pressurized water reactor nuclear power units, each with a capacity of 1,215 MW. With the approval secured, the company will proceed with pre-construction preparations at the site.
