China Southern Airlines reports narrowed loss, revenue up in 2024

China Southern Airlines (SSE:600029) reported a net loss attributable to equity holders of the company of CNY 1.769 billion for 2024, a 57.27% improvement compared to the CNY 4.140 billion loss in the previous year. Operating revenue rose 8.94% to CNY 174.224 billion. The airline cited growth in both passenger and cargo transportation as key factors. Passenger volume increased 15.84% to 164.73 million. The airline highlighted strong safety performance and strategic hub development. The board did not recommend a dividend.
