Bank of China appoints Zhang Ran as independent director

Bank of China (SSE: 601988) announced that Ms. Zhang Ran has been appointed as an independent non-executive director, effective April 3, 2025. This appointment follows approval from the National Financial Regulatory Administration. Ms. Zhang will also serve on the Audit Committee, the Risk Policy Committee, and the Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the board. Concurrently, non-executive director Ms. Lou Xiao Hui will serve on the Audit Committee. Ms. Zhang's term is three years. Prior to this, Ms. Zhang was a professor at Renmin University of China. She has also held independent directorships at Qingdao Brewery Co., Ltd., Novogene, Canvest Technologies Holdings Limited, and BYD Company Limited.
