Pulike subsidiary gains approval for new veterinary drug

Pulike Biological Engineering (SSE:603566) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Luoyang Huizhong Veterinary Drug Co., Ltd., in collaboration with other entities, has been granted a new veterinary drug registration certificate from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs for "Penicillin V Potassium Soluble Powder." Classified as a Class V drug, it is indicated for treating necrotic enteritis in chickens caused by Clostridium perfringens. The recommended dosage is between 13.5-20mg of Penicillin V per kg of body weight, administered once daily for five consecutive days. Pulike believes this new product, addressing a significant market need in poultry disease management, will positively impact the company's market competitiveness. The company is still awaiting a formal veterinary drug product approval number before the drug can be released to market.
