Yanzhou Coal Mining to acquire Northwest Mining for CNY 14.07bn

Yanzhou Coal Mining (SSE:600188) plans to acquire a 51% stake in Shandong Energy Group Northwest Mining Co., Ltd. for a total consideration of CNY 14.07 billion, pending shareholder approval. The acquisition involves purchasing existing shares from entities affiliated with Shandong Energy for CNY 4.75 billion, followed by a CNY 9.32 billion capital injection into Northwest Mining. The deal is expected to increase Yanzhou Coal Mining's coal assets by 635.2 million tons.
