Guiguan Electric Power's Q1 generation up 4.78%

Guangxi Guiguan Electric Power (SSE:600236) announced a 4.78% year-on-year increase in total power generation for the first quarter of 2025, reaching 74.49 billion kWh. Hydropower generation led the increase, rising by 23.90% to 63.15 billion kWh, attributed to increased water inflows in key river basins. While thermal power generation experienced a significant decline of 75.25% to 2.96 billion kWh, wind power decreased by 17.02% to 5.51 billion kWh. Solar power saw substantial growth, increasing by 88.82% to 2.87 billion kWh. The company attributed the overall generation growth to increased hydropower output and the expansion of renewable energy capacity, reflecting its continued focus on new energy development.
