China Shenhua chairman resigns; new representative appointed

China Shenhua Energy (SSE:601088) announced today that Chairman Lü Zhiren has resigned from his position, along with related roles on various board committees, due to retirement. His resignation took effect March 24, 2025, and does not reduce the board below the statutory minimum. Following Lü’s resignation, the composition of the Nomination Committee and the Remuneration and Assessment Committee falls below the required number of members and the company stated it will promptly appoint suitable candidates. In addition, Zhang Changyan has been appointed as the new authorized representative, replacing Lü Zhiren, effective March 24, 2025. The company expressed its gratitude to Lü Zhiren for his contributions.
