China Construction's new contracts rise 5.6% in early 2025

China State Construction Engineering Corp (SSE:601668) today released its operating performance report for the first two months of 2025, showing a total new contract value of RMB 713.6 billion, a 5.6% increase compared to the same period last year. The company's construction business saw new contracts reaching RMB 680.8 billion, up 4.8% year-on-year. Within the construction sector, housing construction contracts amounted to RMB 447.2 billion, a decrease of 4.9%, while infrastructure contracts rose significantly by 30.8% to RMB 231.7 billion. Exploration and design contracts reached RMB 1.9 billion, down 6.2%. Geographically, domestic contracts totaled RMB 655.1 billion, a 2.0% increase, and overseas contracts surged by 259.7% to RMB 25.7 billion. In real estate, contract sales reached RMB 32.8 billion, up 26.0% year-on-year.
