China Securities appoints Liu Cheng as new chairman

China Securities (SSE:601066) announced the appointment of Liu Cheng as its new Chairman, effective March 13, 2025. The decision was ratified during the company's second extraordinary general meeting of 2025 and subsequently approved by the 12th meeting of the third session of the board of directors. Mr. Liu will also serve as the Chairman of the Board's Development Strategy Committee and a member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee. His tenure will align with the term of the current board. Prior to joining China Securities, Mr. Liu held key positions at China CITIC Bank, including serving as a member and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Executive Vice President, and Executive Director. The appointment is subject to filing with the Beijing Regulatory Bureau of the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
