Baiyun Airport's February traffic declines amid mixed performance

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (SSE:600004) reported a mixed performance in its February 2025 production and operation data. Aircraft movements totaled 40,096, a 10.32% year-on-year decrease, with domestic routes experiencing a sharper decline of 14.96%. Passenger throughput reached 6,314,694, down 7.97% compared to the same period last year, as domestic passenger numbers fell by 12.33%. International passenger volume, however, showed a strong increase of 16.20%. Cargo volume saw a slight increase of 0.84%, reaching 158,089.79 tons, driven by a 2.46% increase in domestic cargo. Year-to-date figures show a similar trend, with overall passenger volume up 2.14% and cargo volume up 0.34%, despite declines in aircraft movements.
