Xinji Energy shareholder Xinji Coal pledges additional shares

China Coal Xinji Energy (SSE: 601918) announced that Xinji Coal and Electricity (Group) Co., Ltd., a shareholder holding over 5% of the company's shares, has pledged an additional 51.5 million shares. This pledge represents 27.70% of Xinji Coal's holdings and 1.99% of Xinji Energy's total share capital. The transaction, conducted with Guoyuan Securities, brings Xinji Coal's cumulative pledged shares to 92.15 million, or 49.57% of its holdings and 3.56% of Xinji Energy’s total share capital. Xinji Coal cited its own capital needs as the reason for the transaction. Xinji Energy will continue to monitor the situation and fulfill its disclosure obligations.
