Haitong Securities A-share swap with Guotai Junan imminent

Haitong Securities Co., Ltd. (SSE:600837) announced the A-share swap implementation date for its merger with Guotai Junan Securities. Effective March 4, 2025, Haitong Securities A-shares will be delisted from the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Shareholders of record on March 3, 2025, will receive 0.62 Guotai Junan A-shares for each Haitong Securities A-share held. Fractional shares will be handled via allocation. The Hong Kong Stock Exchange has also approved the delisting of Haitong's H-shares, anticipated to occur on March 4, 2025. Haitong’s A-shares and related securities code (600837) will still be used for payments for cash dividends that have already been issued. Guotai Junan will handle the exchange and subsequent listing of new shares, with announcements to follow. The merger has received regulatory approvals.
