Air China names Ma Chongxian chairman, appoints key executives

Air China (SSE: 601111) has announced the results of its first meeting of the seventh Board of Directors, marking significant leadership appointments. Ma Chongxian was elected as Chairman, with Wang Mingyuan named Vice Chairman. The board also approved the appointment of key senior management personnel, including the re-appointment of Wang Mingyuan as President and other executives as Vice Presidents, Chief Accountant, and legal counsel. Additionally, the board elected Xiao Peng as the company’s employee director through its employee representative congress. The newly appointed board also reconstituted its key committees, including the Audit and Risk Management Committee, Strategy and Investment Committee, Nomination Committee, and Remuneration and Assessment Committee, ensuring comprehensive oversight across the airline's operations.
