Power Construction Corp wins $8.3bn Egypt wind project

Power Construction Corporation of China (Power China) announced that its subsidiaries have signed an EPC contract worth approximately 5.97 billion RMB ($8.3 billion USD) with Suez Wind Power Company for a 1.1GW wind farm in the Suez Bay area, roughly 357 kilometers southeast of Cairo. The agreement encompasses the design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, trial operation, and quality assurance for the wind farm and three on-site booster stations. The project is expected to take around 30 months to complete. Power China advises investors to carefully consider investment risks related to this project. The announcement was officially made on February 26, 2025.
