CITIC Securities guarantees subsidiaries' debt issuance

CITIC Securities (SSE:600030) will guarantee RMB 400 million in European commercial paper issued by CITIC Securities Finance MTN Co., Ltd. (CS MTN) and USD 50.7 million in medium-term notes issued by CSI MTN Limited. Following these actions, CITIC Securities’ total guarantee for CS MTN reaches USD 966 million, inclusive of existing notes. Guarantees provided by CITIC Securities International for CSI MTN total USD 2.55 billion. The company states its total guarantees, primarily for consolidated subsidiaries, exceed 50% of its latest audited net assets. Some subsidiaries have liabilities exceeding 70% of assets. These guarantees were approved at shareholder and board levels.
