Hainan Airlines RPK up 23.1% in January 2025

Hainan Airlines Holding (SSE:600221) reported a 23.1% increase in revenue passenger kilometers (RPK) for January 2025, reaching 11,587.08 million. Domestic RPK rose by 12.37% to 9,470.91 million, while international RPK surged by 115.18% to 2,095.54 million. Revenue tonne kilometers (RTK) increased by 24.4% to 1,156.02 million. Passenger numbers climbed 15.5% to 6,124,020, with international passenger numbers showing a 111.46% increase. The passenger load factor improved to 81.43%, a 2.88 percentage point increase. The airline introduced one Airbus A320NEO and one Boeing 737-800 aircraft during the month, bringing its total fleet to 350. Hainan Airlines also launched new international routes, including services to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
