China Life's new chairman Cai Xiliang gets regulatory nod

China Life Insurance Company (SSE:601628) announced that the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC) has approved Cai Xiliang's qualifications as the company's Chairman and Director. His term officially begins December 4, 2024. Mr. Cai was elected as an executive director at the company's first extraordinary general meeting of 2024 on October 30th and subsequently appointed Chairman at the eighth meeting of the eighth Board of Directors on the same day. Until Liu Hui receives regulatory approval for her appointment as Board Secretary, Mr. Cai will also act as Board Secretary.
