Jinyu Bio-tech subsidiary gets new veterinary drug certificate

Jinyu Bio-technology Co., Ltd. (SSE: 600201) announced its subsidiary, Jinyu Baoling Biological Products Co., Ltd., has received a new veterinary drug registration certificate from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. The certificate is for a novel foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) virus type O and A bivalent virus-like particle vaccine for pigs. This second-class vaccine is designed to prevent FMD types O and A in pigs, providing immunity for six months after vaccination. The vaccine utilizes recombinant E. coli-expressed proteins, mitigating biosafety risks associated with traditional vaccines. The vaccine is administered via intramuscular injection, with piglets receiving an initial dose at approximately 60 days of age followed by a booster shot 30 days later. While the certificate is a key step, Jinyu Baoling must obtain product approval and complete other regulatory processes before the vaccine can be marketed.
