Lumi Gruppen acquires Edrupt, boosting AI education offerings

Lumi Gruppen, through its subsidiary Lumi Services AS, has agreed to acquire Edrupt Holding AS, the company behind the EnkelEksamen digital platform, for an enterprise value of up to NOK 150 million. The acquisition, financed through existing bank facilities, involves an upfront cash payment of NOK 71.7 million, with the remainder structured as earn-out and outperformance payments. The transaction is expected to close in early January 2026.

Edrupt, which provides online video courses and AI-enhanced learning tools, is projected to achieve revenues of approximately NOK 40 million for 2025, up from NOK 33.2 million in 2024. Operating profit (EBIT) is expected to reach NOK 10.5 million for 2025, an increase from NOK 7.0 million in 2024. The acquisition strategically enhances Lumi Gruppen's position in AI-based education technology, diversifies its portfolio, and opens new growth avenues.

Founded in 2012, Edrupt has delivered over 250 digital courses, initially targeting tertiary business students before expanding to other subjects and the secondary level. The company is owned by its founders and employees.
