Kitron lands €7m defense contract for autonomous systems

Kitron ASA has signed a €7 million contract with a new customer for the production and delivery of advanced electronics for autonomous systems. These systems are intended for air, land, and sea domains within the defense industry. Deliveries under the contract are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2026, with production at Kitron's European factories.

According to Hasse Faxe, Kitron's commercial director, this order highlights the company's strong position in autonomous systems, emphasizing its core competencies in rapid upscaling, scalability, high quality, and reliability. Faxe stated the contract reinforces Kitron's long-term growth ambitions and strengthens its standing in the Defense & Aviation segment.

Kitron, a Scandinavian electronics manufacturing service provider, operates in sectors including Connectivity, Electrification, Industry, Medical Equipment, and Defense/Aviation. The company reported operating revenues of €647 million in 2024 and employs approximately 3,000 people.
