Subsea 7 secures Equinor IMR services extension

Subsea 7 S.A. announced on December 19, 2025, a sizeable extension of an existing frame agreement with Equinor for subsea inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) services. The extension, valued between $50 million and $150 million, covers the vessel Seven Viking and runs until the end of 2027. This latest extension builds on a frame agreement first established in 2018.

Under the terms of the agreement, Seven Viking will continue to provide IMR services for Equinor's oil and gas wells across the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Project management and engineering responsibilities will remain at Subsea 7's office in Stavanger, Norway.

Erik Femsteinevik, vp Subsea7 Norway, highlighted the company's appreciation for Equinor's decision to extend the contract, emphasizing the ongoing commitment to supporting safe and efficient operations.
