Veidekke lands NOK 261m contract for Porsgrunn healthcare facility

Veidekke has signed a turnkey contract with Porsgrunn municipality for NOK 261 million, excluding VAT, to construct an additional wing at Mule nursing home and a new emergency clinic for Porsgrunn and Bamble municipalities. The project involves a 7,650 m² facility across four floors and a basement, including 64 new resident rooms and a new emergency clinic, which will be connected to the existing nursing home.

The new building is set to achieve BREEAM-NOR "Very Good" environmental certification. Veidekke's local skilled workers and apprentices will perform concrete and carpentry work, supporting regional employment. Construction is scheduled to commence in Q1 2026, with completion anticipated in Q3 2027.

The NOK 261 million assignment will be added to Veidekke's order backlog in the fourth quarter of 2026. This project reinforces the company's expertise in healthcare facilities, aligning with its strategy of securing public sector assignments.
