Subsea 7 lands large ConocoPhillips contract for Norway offshore development

Subsea 7 S.A. was awarded a large contract by ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS for the Previously Produced Fields (PPF) development offshore Norway. A large contract is defined by Subsea 7 as being between $300 million and $500 million. The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) of subsea structures, umbilicals, risers, and flowlines (SURF). This award follows an earlier contract on May 19, 2025, for front-end engineering and design (FEED) that finalized the technical definition.

Engineering and project management for the PPF development will commence immediately in Norway, with the main offshore campaigns scheduled for 2027 and 2028. The PPF development will connect to the existing Ekofisk Complex, located approximately 290 kilometers southwest of Stavanger. The contract is contingent on authority approval of the Plan for Development and Operations (PDO).
