Kongsberg secures NOK 600m German submarine navigation system contract

Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (KONGSBERG) has signed a contract valued at over NOK 600 million for the delivery of four navigation systems for the German Navy’s 212A refit program. The agreement also encompasses deliveries to the German Navy’s training facilities for the 212A class submarines.

The contract was secured with TKMS, building upon technology and solutions initially developed for the joint Norwegian-German 212CD programme, a collaboration between KONGSBERG and TKMS.

Kongsberg Gruppen ASA, with over 15,000 employees across 40 countries, reported total revenues of NOK 48.9 bn in 2024. The international group specializes in high-tech systems and solutions for diverse markets including defense, maritime, and aerospace.
