Subsea 7 lands substantial Chevron Australia Gorgon Stage 3 contract

Subsea 7 S.A. announced a "substantial" contract award from Chevron Australia for the Gorgon Stage 3 (GS3) Project offshore Australia. The contract, valued between $150 million and $300 million, covers subsea installation services at a water depth of 1,350m. Subsea 7's extensive work scope includes project management, engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation, and pre-commissioning of subsea equipment and associated infrastructure.

Project management and engineering are set to begin immediately from Subsea 7's Perth office, with support from teams in Kuala Lumpur and Paris. Offshore operations for the GS3 Project are expected to start in 2028. David Bertin, senior vice president for Subsea 7 Global Projects Centre East, emphasized the project's importance in strengthening the company's long-term engagement with Chevron.
