Kongsberg wins high double-digit million-euro anti-drone contract for Netherlands

Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has signed a contract with Rheinmetall Air Defence to provide a command and control solution for the Skyranger 30 mobile air defense system, destined for the Dutch Ministry of Defence. This contract ensures seamless integration between the Skyranger 30 and the NASAMS and NOMADS air defense systems, which the Netherlands acquired from Kongsberg in November 2024. The contract value is a high double-digit million-euro amount.

Kjetil R. Myhra, executive vice president for defence systems at Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, highlighted that connecting Skyranger 30 within the same network as NASAMS and NOMADS, combined with an effective command and control architecture, will provide the Netherlands with a flexible market solution covering a wide range of air defense missions, including managing small and medium-sized drones.

Furthermore, Skyranger 30 will also be integrated into Kongsberg's simulation and training solution, part of the broader contract with the Netherlands from November 2024. Kongsberg Gruppen ASA reported a total revenue of NOK 48.9 billion in 2024, employing over 15,000 staff across 40 countries.
