Kitron secures €17m defense contract for combat vehicle components

Kitron has secured a new contract valued at an estimated €17 million for the production and delivery of advanced electronic components. These components are designated for use in combat vehicle systems, bolstering Kitron’s presence in the defense sector. Deliveries under the contract are slated to commence in the second half of 2026, with production taking place at one of Kitron's European facilities.

Hans Petter Thomassen, executive vice president for Nordics and North America at Kitron, highlighted the company's role in the ongoing buildup of European defense capabilities. This agreement is expected to drive further growth within Kitron's defense and aerospace market sector and reinforce its position as a key supplier for land system platforms.

Kitron, a prominent Scandinavian electronics manufacturing services provider, operates across multiple sectors including connectivity, electrification, industry, medical equipment, and defense/aerospace. The company has approximately 3,000 employees and reported operating revenues of €647 million in 2024.
