Scanfiber Composites secures NATO armored vehicle protection order

Scanfiber Composites, a company Fjord Defence Group is acquiring, has announced a new order valued at NOK 8.85 million. The contract, placed by a NATO member country, is for spall liners designed to enhance the protection of Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) and Scout Vehicles. This order highlights Scanfiber's expertise in lightweight, high-performance composite materials that improve occupant safety by mitigating spall fragments.

Deliveries for this significant order are scheduled to commence in late summer 2026 and continue through autumn 2027. chief executive Jon Asbjørn Bø of Fjord Defence Group commented that this order marks a key milestone in supporting NATO allies and demonstrates confidence in Scanfiber's engineering excellence and rapid deployment capabilities. He anticipates it will open further opportunities in the armored vehicle sector.
