Mutares completes acquisition of JOST crane business from Hyva Group

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has successfully completed the acquisition of the crane business unit of JOST from the Hyva Group. The transaction, effective December 3, 2025, positions the crane business as a new platform investment within Mutares’ Goods & Services segment.

The JOST crane business unit is a global manufacturer and distributor of truck-mounted cranes, operating under a multi-brand strategy. The company generates approximately €100m in annual revenues and employs around 400 staff across its production, assembly, and sales network in key global markets including Italy, Brazil, and China.

The acquired business’s product portfolio serves diverse industries such as construction, infrastructure, and marine equipment. Mutares, a listed private equity holding company, acquires and repositions companies in special situations with significant operational improvement potential.
