Zelluna names internal veteran Melen new CFO

Zelluna has announced the appointment of Geir Christian Melen as its new chief financial officer, effective January 1, 2026. Melen, who has served as Zelluna's finance director for over seven years, brings a deep understanding of the company's TCR-NK platform and extensive experience in the Norwegian biotech and life sciences sector. He previously held CFO and CEO roles at companies like Algeta and Photocure.

Current CFO Hans Vassgård Eid will step down at the end of December 2025. CEO Namir Hassan expressed appreciation for Eid's significant contributions, including his role in the successful business combination between Zelluna and Ultimovacs since 2015. Melen's appointment comes as Zelluna prepares to advance its lead program, ZI-MA4-1, into clinical development in 2026.
