Norse Atlantic appoints Eivind Roald as CEO; founder becomes chairman

Norse Atlantic ASA announced the appointment of Eivind Roald as its new president and chief executive, effective immediately, succeeding founder Bjørn Tore Larsen. Roald brings over 30 years of executive leadership experience across aviation, technology, and commercial transformation, including roles as managing director of Hewlett-Packard, executive vice president and CCO at SAS, and chief executive of QNTM Group. He is noted for his instrumental role in SAS's commercial turnaround.

Bjørn Tore Larsen, who founded Norse Atlantic in March 2021, will continue to support the company as the chairman of the board. Under Larsen's leadership, Norse Atlantic has grown into a global challenger in affordable premium long-haul travel, operating a modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet. The airline has carried over 4.3m passengers since its first flight in June 2022, and reported revenue of $680m for the 12 months ending September 30, 2025.

Norse Atlantic currently employs more than 1,300 people and offers flights between major European cities and destinations in the United States, South Africa, and Asia, alongside specialized charter and ACMI services, and cargo operations.
