AF Gruppen subsidiary wins SEK 117m Hamra substation contract

Kanonaden Entreprenad Mälardalen AB, a subsidiary of AF Gruppen, has been awarded a SEK 117 million contract by Linxon Sweden AB for ground and concrete works at the Hamra transformer station. The project, undertaken for Svenska kraftnät, involves the reconstruction of an existing transformer station and the construction of a new 400 kV transformer station, including two control buildings.

Kanonaden Entreprenad Mälardalen AB's scope of work includes groundworks, concrete work, foundation laying, and the demolition of earthing networks and concrete foundations. Bård Frydenlund, executive vice president of AF Gruppen Sverige, expressed satisfaction at collaborating with Linxon for Svenska kraftnät, highlighting the company's experience and commitment to safe and efficient delivery.

The project is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2025 and is expected to be completed during 2030.
