Equinor board recommends Jarle Roth as new member

Equinor ASA announced that its Nomination Committee recommends Jarle Roth as a new member of the company's Board of Directors. The election will take place at the Corporate Assembly meeting on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. If elected, Roth's tenure would commence on December 1, 2025, and run until the next ordinary election of shareholder representatives to the board in June 2026. Roth is an independent advisor and holds a degree in economics.

Roth's extensive background includes chief executive roles at several Norwegian companies, such as Eksportkreditt Norge AS, Arendals Fossekompani ASA, Umoe Gruppen, Schat-Harding, and Unitor ASA. His expertise spans industrial investments, change management, energy transition, financing Norwegian export industry, and international shipping. He also possesses significant board experience from major listed companies, covering corporate governance, risk management, strategy, transactions, and sustainability.

Furthermore, Roth brings international experience from leading businesses with operations across Europe, Asia, and America. Notably, he has previously served as chairman of Equinor ASA's Nomination Committee and Corporate Assembly, providing him with existing familiarity with the company's governance structures.
