Aker BP and DNO deepen collaboration, Aker BP boosts Alvheim area stake

Aker BP and DNO have forged agreements to bolster Aker BP's presence in the Alvheim area and accelerate the development of the Kjøttkake discovery. The deal involves an exchange of ownership interests across several licences and transfers operatorship of Kjøttkake to Aker BP during the development phase.

Under the terms, Aker BP will divest its interest in the Verdande field to DNO. In return, Aker BP will significantly increase its stake in the producing Vilje field (from 46.904% to 75.757%), expand its position in the Kveikje discovery (from 10% to 19%), and acquire new interests in several exploration licences, including PL1175, PL1175B (60%), PL1171 (66%), and PL1204, PL1204 BS (20%).

These agreements are expected to enhance Aker BP's footprint in the Alvheim and Kjøttkake areas, supporting integrated development opportunities and tie-back solutions to existing infrastructure. The transactions are subject to customary regulatory approvals and partner consents.
