DOF secures $100m in contract extensions for Brazil PLSVs

DOF Group ASA announced that three of its pipelay support vessels (PLSVs) operating in Brazil have secured contract extensions with Petrobras. These vessels, Skandi Vitória, Skandi Niterói, and Skandi Açu, are owned through a 50/50 joint venture with TechnipFMC. The extensions add approximately $100 million to DOF's backlog.

Skandi Vitória and Skandi Niterói's current contracts are extended from Q4-2025 until Q1-2027, with previously announced 3-year contracts from June 2024 commencing thereafter. Skandi Açu's contract is extended from Q3-2026 until Q1-2027, followed by a previously announced 3-year contract from August 2024.

Mons Aase, chief executive of DOF Group ASA, highlighted the strategic importance, stating the extensions solidify the firm backlog of these high-end vessels into 2030. Including other previously announced contracts, DOF now operates 17 vessels in Brazil with a firm backlog extending towards and into the next decade.
