Norwegian Air Shuttle names new chair of the board

Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA will hold an extraordinary general meeting on November 20, 2025, to elect a new chair of the board. Svein Harald Oygard has informed the nomination committee of his resignation, leading to the proposal for Dag Mejdell to take over. The nomination committee commended Oygard for his pivotal role in Norwegian's reconstruction since 2021, transforming it into a strong Nordic airline.

Dag Mejdell, with extensive experience as chief executive of Dyno Nobel and Posten, and a board member in various companies, expressed enthusiasm for the role, acknowledging the significant progress made under Oygard's leadership. Oygard highlighted the company's achievements, including robust earnings, a modern fleet of 95 aircraft, the acquisition of Wideroe, positive returns for Norwegian taxpayers, the first shareholder dividend, and the best-ever quarterly result.

The extraordinary general meeting will be held digitally via Lumi, with no in-person attendance. Shareholders can participate online using provided reference and PIN codes, or by submitting a proxy by November 18, 2025.
