Mutares acquires M3 Group to expand Nordic infrastructure presence

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has signed an agreement to acquire the M3 Group, comprising M3 Schakt AB, M3 Rental AB, and Schaktförmedlingen Sverige AB. This strategic acquisition for GDL Anläggning & Miljö aims to bolster Mutares’s infrastructure & special industry segment and expand its presence in the Nordic region. The M3 Group specializes in infrastructure projects, serving major private construction companies, and reported revenues of approximately €35m in FY2024.

The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, subject to customary approvals. Mutares CIO Johannes Laumann highlighted the deal as a "strategic milestone" that will capitalize on M3 Group's expertise and strong market position, especially within GDL Anläggning & Miljö. With around 44 employees and a robust network of subcontractors, the M3 Group will provide significant synergies and geographical expansion for GDL Anläggning & Miljö.
