Equinor completes third tranche of 2025 share buyback, acquires over 1m shares

Equinor ASA has completed the third tranche of its 2025 share buyback program, purchasing a total of 1,129,635 own shares between October 13 and October 17, 2025. The average price per share for this period was NOK 235.3736, bringing the total transaction value to NOK 265,886,226.79. These transactions were executed on the Oslo Stock Exchange (OSE).

The detailed breakdown of daily transactions on the OSE shows aggregated volumes of 278,535 shares on October 13, 285,400 shares on October 14, 281,000 shares on October 16, and 284,700 shares on October 17.

Following these acquisitions, Equinor ASA now holds a total of 42,531,946 own shares, representing 1.66% of its share capital. This figure includes shares held under Equinor’s employee share savings program. Excluding these, the company owns 32,211,644 shares, equivalent to 1.26% of the share capital. The buyback tranche was initially announced on July 23, 2025, and ran from July 24 to October 27, 2025.
