Mowi's Nova Sea acquisition gets EU approval

Mowi ASA announced today, October 17, 2025, that its acquisition of a controlling stake in Nova Sea AS has been approved by the EU Commission. This follows the January 30, 2025 notice detailing Mowi's agreement to boost its ownership share in Nova Sea AS from 49% to 95%.

With the EU Commission's green light, the transaction now only requires approval from the Norwegian competition authority before it can be finalized. This marks a significant step towards Mowi consolidating its control over Nova Sea AS.
