Okeanis Eco Tankers announces two director resignations

Okeanis Eco Tankers Corp. announced on October 13, 2025, that Robert Knapp and Joshua Nemser resigned as directors, effective October 10, 2025. The company stated these resignations were not due to any disagreement with the company or its management. Both individuals had served as directors since the company's inception over seven years prior.

The board of directors has not yet decided whether to reduce its size or fill the two vacancies. Despite the resignations, the board maintains a majority of independent directors. The composition of most board committees remains unchanged, with the exception of the remuneration committee, which now consists solely of Charlotte Stratos and Francis “Frank” Dunne.

Ioannis Alafouzos, chairman of the board, expressed gratitude for Knapp’s and Nemser’s "many contributions and dedication," acknowledging their instrumental role in the company's path. Okeanis Eco Tankers operates a fleet of six Suezmax and eight VLCC scrubber-fitted tankers.
