Zenith Energy expands Italian solar portfolio with new acquisition in Puglia

Zenith Energy Ltd. announced on October 9, 2025, the acquisition of a solar energy development project in Italy's Puglia region. This "Puglia Acquisition" has an installed capacity of approximately 10 MWp and includes the purchase of two hectares of land for a new battery energy storage system (BESS) with up to 10 MW capacity. The BESS is designed to optimize energy production profitability by storing electricity during low-price periods and reselling it during peak "fasce orarie." The total consideration for the acquisition is €875,000, conditional upon obtaining necessary permits to achieve 'Ready-to-Build' status within 12-16 months.

This acquisition expands Zenith's presence in Puglia, complementing existing projects in Piedmont and Lazio, and reinforcing its "cluster" development strategy in Italy's most favorable regions for renewable energy generation. The company's total solar portfolio now stands at 74.5 MWp.

Andrea Cattaneo, chief executive of Zenith Energy, highlighted the strategic importance of the BESS development, emphasizing its role in strengthening the company's commercial positioning in the evolving energy market and capturing price differentials. He underscored the investment as reflecting confidence in energy storage as a core pillar of future energy economics, combining innovation, efficiency, and strong commercial rationale.
