NRC Group secures major Swedish railway catenary upgrade contract

NRC Group ASA, through its wholly-owned subsidiary NRC Group Sverige AB, has been appointed to a major catenary upgrade contract for the railway line between Bräcke and Bispgården in Sweden by the Swedish Transport Administration. The core contract is valued at approximately SEK 529 million.

The agreement also includes two significant contract options, valued at approximately SEK 620 million and SEK 670 million respectively. The comprehensive scope of work encompasses rail services, including track, electro, groundwork, and catenary, with catenary being the largest component. Work is scheduled to commence in March 2026 and conclude in November 2028.

According to NRC Group ASA chief executive Anders Gustafsson, this contract is a significant milestone, providing a solid platform for expansion and strengthening operations in central Sweden. The company anticipates formal contractual signing after the 10-day complaint submission period closes.
