Mutares completes acquisition of Italian drum brake operations, targets €100m revenue

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has successfully completed the acquisition of AUMOVIO's drum brake production and R&D location in Cairo Montenotte, Italy. This transaction includes all employees and business activities, operating under the new name Zendra Systems, and is expected to contribute approximately €100 million in revenues by 2025.

The acquired site is a critical production and R&D hub for hydraulic drum brakes, manufacturing components like the Parking Brake for Simplex Brakes and the Drum Brake, employing around 400 people. This strategic move enhances Mutares' Automotive & Mobility portfolio as a new platform investment.

Mutares, a listed private equity holding company, specializes in acquiring and repositioning companies with significant operational improvement potential. Its shares are traded on the Regulated Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and are part of the SDAX selection index.
