Bakkafrost sees mixed Q3 harvests, Scottish mortality costs rise

Bakkafrost's Q3 2025 trading update shows total harvest volumes of 30.7 thousand tonnes, with the Faroe Islands contributing 25.4 thousand tonnes and Scotland 5.3 thousand tonnes. The average harvest weight in the Faroe Islands was 5.2 kg, while Scotland reported 4.8 kg. Incident-based mortality costs for the quarter were estimated at 0 mDKK for the Faroe Islands and 59 mDKK for Scotland, primarily due to an event at the Portree farming site in September.

Freshwater smolt release in Q3 2025 amounted to 4.8 million in the Faroe Islands and 3.3 million in Scotland. In the Fishmeal, Oil and Feed (FOF) segment, marine raw material sourcing totaled 40.3 thousand tonnes, with feed sales reaching 49.1 thousand tonnes. Fish meal sales were 5.1 thousand tonnes, and fish oil sales were 0.0 thousand tonnes for the quarter.
