Telenor Pakistan sale clears key regulatory hurdle

Telenor ASA announced its agreement to sell 100% of Telenor Pakistan (Private) Limited to Pakistan Telecommunications Company Ltd (PTCL) has achieved a significant regulatory milestone. PTCL informed Telenor that approval for the transaction has been received from the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP).

With CCP approval secured, Telenor will now proceed with seeking necessary approval from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). This marks a forward step in the regulatory process for the divestment.

Telenor expresses anticipation for an efficient continuation of the approval process and the ultimate completion of the transaction.
