Veidekke lands SEK 209m residential construction contract in Stockholm area

Veidekke has signed a SEK 209 million contract for the second phase of OBOS' residential development in Ekerö municipality, outside Stockholm. This follows a first phase contract for the Träkvista development signed earlier this year. The new contract involves building an additional 77 apartments and 10 townhouses. Veidekke's early involvement in planning optimized quality and cost.

The project is part of a new regulatory plan for Träkvista torg, which includes housing, a nursing home, service buildings, and a new town square. The BRF Bolero section, inspired by local apple varieties due to its natural surroundings by Mälaren, is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2027 and will be Svanemerket certified. This contract will be included in Veidekke's order book for the third quarter of 2025.

Veidekke, one of Scandinavia's largest contractors, performs various construction and civil engineering assignments, road maintenance, and produces asphalt, crushed stone, and gravel. The company has an approximate turnover of NOK 41 billion and employs 8,000 people.
