Link Mobility's SMSPortal acquisition on track for November completion

Link Mobility announced on September 29, 2025, that its acquisition of SMSPortal, a leading A2P messaging provider in South Africa, is proceeding as planned. The company confirmed that all essential third-party consents have been secured, and the competition authority has granted its approval for the transaction. This follows their initial announcement on June 24, 2025.

The closing of the acquisition is contingent upon the expiration of a government grace period linked to a telecommunications license, which is set to conclude in November 2025. Link Mobility anticipates completing the acquisition by the end of November, characterizing the delay as a procedural formality not expected to hinder the successful closing.

Link Mobility, listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, is a global provider of CPaaS solutions, serving over 55,000 active customer accounts and exchanging more than 22 bn messages annually. This acquisition strengthens its position in the mobile messaging and communications platform sector.
