Akhmerov files new arrest petition against EAM Solar

EAM Solar AS has been informed of a new arrest petition filed by Igor Akhmerov, based on claims similar to his unsuccessful 2024 attempt. Akhmerov, previously chief executive of Aveleos and Avelar-group, was found liable to the Italian state in a criminal case for subsidy fraud.

Akhmerov's previous arrest petition from October 29, 2024, concerning anticipated future civil legal costs, was dropped on January 6, 2025. He was ordered to pay NOK 100,000 to EAM for withdrawing the claim, a sum which remains unpaid.

EAM notes the timing of Akhmerov's petitions, with the 2024 filing preceding an extraordinary general meeting that approved a capital increase, and the current petition preceding another extraordinary general meeting on October 1, 2025, to consider a planned capital increase. EAM disputes Akhmerov's claim, asserting a lack of grounds for liability or causation, and reserves the right to claim damages from Akhmerov.
