AF Gruppen secures major carbon capture project for Hafslund Celsio

AF Gruppen has been awarded a main contract by Hafslund Celsio AS for the construction of a new technical building and foundations for a carbon capture facility at Klemetsrud, Oslo. This project is a crucial component of the Norwegian government's Longship initiative, aiming to establish one of the world's pioneering carbon capture facilities for waste incineration.

The contract, encompassing both civil and technical works, has an estimated value of approximately NOK 500 million, excluding VAT, plus additional options. Construction is slated to commence in November 2025, with a target completion in Q4 2028.
